The Wings of Freedom Foundation, Inc. Welcome to the page for the UH-1 Huey '446 restoration project!

is a traveling museum dedicated to preserving the history of American military aviation, and honoring the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. My name is Trevor McIntyre, I'm one of the volunteers working on this project, and I'll be posting updates here of our progress as we restore UH-1 '446 back to its former glory as a tribute to Veterans of the Vietnam War. ey Maintenance Platoon" is a small but highly dedicated team of volunteers who are working tirelessly to restore our Huey for display at the Fannin County Veterans Memorial Park in beautiful Blue Ridge, Georgia. Many of our volunteers are Vietnam Veterans themselves who flew and crewed Huey's in Vietnam, and it is truly a labor of love for all of us involved with this very special project. We are actively seeking donations to help with the ongoing costs of the restoration, and if you would like to help, please feel free to message me. Freedom is not free!

The Wings of Freedom Foundation visited the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery in Blue Ridge this week to clean the graves of our fallen service members who died in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq, and place flags in their honor.

We do this each year at no cost to the families for Memorial Day, to help ensure their sacrifices are not forgotten.

Please keep all of our fallen service members and their families in your thoughts this Memorial Day weekend.

If you know of a veteran's grave marker that needs cleaning in Fannin or Union County, please get in touch. We offer this cleaning service at no cost to the family. Our cleaning methods are in strict accordance with the National Cemetery Administration guidelines, and we use the same cleaning solution that is used at Arlington National Cemetery.

The Wings of Freedom Foundation will have a military aviation history display set up this Saturday at noon for the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the Union County War Memorial Veterans Park in Blairsville.
