Hey Friends!!! We've got an update on Rocky the Rock Snake. He's getting super long, he's recently gotten lots of new beautiful rocks, but just like any snake that sheds it's skin, some of Rocky's rocks have started to loose their beautiful colors due to sun fade and weather. So if you don't see a rock that you painted in our video that is probably why. If anyone would like to come and collect some of his faded rocks and repaint them for him, I'm sure he would greatly appreciate it. 😁❤️

CALLING ALL ARTIST

The Avoyelles Arts & Music Festival will be creating a POP UP ART SHOW on the grounds of our festival at Paragon Casino Resort on Thursday, July 4th. We are wanting to put more emphasis on the ARTS! We would love for our local artist to exhibit some of your amazing artwork in festival gallery. Your artwork will be displayed inside.

*If you desire you can sell your artwork! Our gallery director Gwendolyn Lacombe will be there to handle any of the transactions. You do not have to be present on July 4th to work the show.

*Drop off your "ready to hang" artwork to Gallery on the Square", 122 E. Mark Street, Marksville any day before 4pm from now through July 1st.

This right here is exactly why we started having these events. We wanted to give families a safe place to enjoy themselves and to build a lasting relationship with our community. All of the proceeds from our events go towards more family fun, and towards continuing to preserve and helping to renovate the Big Bend Museum and the Sarto Old Iron Bridge. We couldn't do any of that without our amazing community. We are proud to be a part of Avoyelles Parish, and excited to have all of you at our events.
