This morning the R**e & Abuse Crisis Center Of Fargo- Moorhead picked up all of our toys, exhibits, costumes, puppets, slides and even the whoosher! We are excited to work with them to incorporate all of these features into their new facility…and maybe build a few new ones! It fills our hearts to know they have found such a wonderful home and will continue to bring joy to kiddos in the FM Area! 💜

The future of learning, creativity, and connection in Moorhead now has a name—The Loop! This dynamic new space will serve as a hub for knowledge, innovation, and community engagement.

“The Loop reflects the combination of community center features with the public library in one incredible building. The Moorhead Public Library will maintain its identity in the location while offering expanded amenities,” said Mayor Shelly Carlson. “The Loop is a fun play on words to encourage people to gather, learn and stay “in the Loop” in Downtown Moorhead. Plus, there’s a beautiful walking loop around the interior of the second floor to keep us active year-round!”

A library is more than just books—it’s a place where people gather, exchange ideas, and stay connected. The Loop embodies that spirit, creating a welcoming space for all ages to explore, discover, and engage.

The Loop will be a 48,000 square foot multi-use public space serving as a central hub for families, businesses, and individuals of all ages and abilities. The facility’s design centers around the idea of a 21st Century library and emerged from extensive community input. Key features like a year-round playground and indoor walking loop reflect the priorities of Moorhead residents. The Loop will open in Spring of 2026 and all features will be free and open to the community.
