“Lace in the Wild” by Mary Claire Tillotson left the gallery after just a little over a week. A customer saw it over the weekend and came back to make it theirs.

That golden light, the soft sky, the delicate flowers along the bottom… I could have looked at this painting every day. If you were lucky enough to see it during its short time here, you understand how beautifully it filled the space.

I’ll admit, I wanted to buy this one myself so it could stay in our gallery. I’m so happy it found a home, but I’ll miss it.

Now I can’t wait to see what Mary Claire brings us next!

October looks pretty good on South Main Street! 🍂

Our friends at Brawley Seed and Brawley Porch Works brought fall to our storefront with pumpkins, color, texture and all the little details that make you stop and look.

They’re a locally owned garden center that also offers seasonal porch styling. Thank you for making our entrance so welcoming!

There’s plenty happening inside Juelerye this month, too. Watch for our email later this week with everything coming up.

Mark and Emily recently celebrated their wedding in Chicago, and they shared this beautiful photo from the day.

Seeing the Houston Llew Spiritile they found at Juelerye beside their ch*****ne glasses made us smile. What a lovely way to make it part of their celebration.

Sunday, I introduced you to Mary Claire Tillotson. Today, I want to show you one of the three paintings she brought to Juelerye.

Mary Claire told me that as a child, she was always drawn to fields of wildflowers. Even now, it’s often the smallest details in nature that catch her attention.

For this piece, it was Queen Anne’s lace.

That delicate, almost lace-like flower growing freely among the grasses and wildflowers became the inspiration for Lace in the Wild.

I love what Mary Claire says the painting is really about: noticing those small moments of beauty and holding onto the feeling they leave behind.

And when you look closely at the bottom of the painting, you see exactly what she means.
