Easy Botanical Monoprinting. Come ready to compose beautiful gel prints with fresh or dried leaves, grasses and flowers. This class will build on foundational gel printing skills incorporating colorful patterned layers highlighting the beautiful details seen in nature.

Instructor:

Joyce Baker - "My art of mixed media reflects my love of color and patterns. As I delve deeper into my own art practice, I find myself creating layers to cover up what has been applied before while at the same time shaping new visual possibilities. I cherish the feeling the inner joy I receive from letting my creativity flow freely from myself and finding deep satisfaction in the outcome.
Throughout my 25 years of teaching art for all ages in Denver, I provided step by step instruction building up the students' confidence in their art making."

Attention MCA member artists, September 12th is drop off day for your best creepy, spooky and eerie artwork between 10 and 5pm. Bring up to 3 pieces, max size 36" long dimn.

The tradition of Halloween originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (sow-in), when people lit bonfires and wore costumes to ward off ghosts. The celebration has evolved over the centuries into the second most popular holiday in the United States, Halloween. We’ve invited MCA artists to share their creepy, eerie, spooky and strange art for this unique exhibit.
