Hello all. Last weekend I participate in the Artist Market 2022 at Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. It was great to meet and reconnect with fellow artists.
I have a few prints still available (approx. 8x10 in.), and they are pictured below. The price ranges from $10-15, not including shipping.
I also have a couple of customized Moleskine cahiers (notebooks/sketchbooks). One has lined pages and one is blank. Comment below if you are interested in a piece. I accept Venmo, PayPal, or cash app.
The Montgomery Arts Academy’s Holiday Showcase '22 was a great success. Our Spring Showcase is coming soon in April 2023!!
Pre-pandemic I won the Woman of Achievement award at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.💛It was a huge honor to be recognized...and a wake up call from deep inside.
I sat there honored, inspired, and empty at the same darn time. Over the years, I’ve definitely achieved a lot...yet I still struggled a lot. But, I woke up having the courage to live my life the way I desire to live my life and not the way others expected me to. I decided to keep giving unabashedly, but unapologetically take care of me too. And if the energy or the dollars don’t make sense at my big age then, chile, it’s something she simply cannot do. Lol
ACHI, I thank you for this honor and most of all—I thank you for the BREAKTHROUGH. ☺️💫🙌🏾 😌
This Fall WMA Supporter level members and above were invited to join museum staff to explore the cultural offerings of Montgomery, Al.
The members who joined us explored the art experiences at Kress on Dexter during a walking tour of public art, and also participated in a brainwave-recording activity with artist Chintia Kirana Studio. We also enjoyed a lunch together at Verde Cafe and a staff-guided tour of the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts!
These trips are a special way for members to connect with WMA staff and regional art and artists of our time. Are you interested in joining our next member trip? Upgrade your membership today to take part in these one-of-a-kind experiences and support WMA in the process.

The City as Our School initiative aims to provide opportunities for Montgomery Academy students to learn and gain a philanthropic understanding about the different cultural institutions, governmental agencies, and businesses necessary for a thriving city. This year, our 9th & 10th grade Upper School students were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. They heard from various staff who spoke about their areas of expertise including development, curation, costumes, and education. We are grateful for our partner organizations who made this experience possible!
The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts Gift Shop is having an opening reception for its newest selection of featured local artists. Stop by on Thursday, October 27th at 5pm for the opening reception to meet everyone and grab a treat! I am very lucky to have my work included with so many talented artists.
