Just a tasting of what is more to come tonight, here we see Milwaukee Road S-3 #261, beautifully restored and maintained by Friends of the 261, idling in Montevideo, MN after a long day of running the 250th Freedom Hiawatha from the twin cities.

Off to the right is Milwaukee 32A with the rest of the excursion train tied down for the night.

I have to say, I am really enjoying this Sony A6700 I just picked up, it is fantastic at photography (especially low light), and is now my main video camera for youtube. Speaking of that, keep an eye out for a video on the 250th Freedom Hiawatha excursions soon!

A massive thank you to everyone that came to visit us this weekend! It was great to share our little slice of preservation to the masses that were present for the 250th Excursions!
To our new followers, and members, welcome! We have really been ramping up the "unseen" the last few years to make the "seen" side apparent to all of our visitors. This includes community outreach, social media presence, grant applications, and working with friends in the railroad and preservation circle! Naturally, a huge thank you to Monte Chamber and the Friends of the 261 to bringing more friends together on the Semiquincentennial.
