The Living Dead is a celebration of Zombies in Pop-Culture. Located in historic Monroeville Mall, location of the original film, George A. The themed attraction takes fans through a visual history of zombies in cinema. Displays of props and memorabilia are woven into a presentation featuring interactive experiences and zombie gift shopping.

Living Dead Weekend Friday Ticketing Check-In! Very important information about today’s ticket check-in:

In order to expedite the ticketing procedure for all the different levels of tickets, we have a staggered schedule for checkin tomorrow.

10:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Only attendees who have pre-purchased a Friday NOON Mall Tour may check in during this hour.

11:00 AM to NOON: Only VIP PASS holders AND anyone who has a Friday NOON Mall Tour may checkin during this hour.

NOON to 1:00: Only VIP PASS holders may checkin during this hour.

1:00 PM and forward: All tickets types will be allowed to checkin.

Remember, only VIP pass holders will be allowed into the vendor halls between the hours of NOON and 2:00 PM.

All general admission ticket holders will get access to the halls beginning at 2:00 PM

The ticket booth is on the lower level at the edge of Romero Court, near the Dick’s Sporting Goods store.

Everybody of all ticket types must report to this ticketing booth before they can begin to do anything at all at the weekend, including all tours, movie screening, and anything else. You must get your admission ticket here.

PHOTO OP Tickets can be obtained in Hall B after your admission, tickets and other add-on tickets are checked in at the regular ticket booth.

Another very important thing, every attendee must have an admission ticket, that means either a VIP ticket, 3-day weekend ticket, or single day ticket. Any tour ticket or movie screening ticket is simply an add-on to the admission ticket and you will not be able to participate in those events without a proper admission ticket to the overall event.

All general admission tickets are available at the ticket booth, you do not need to purchase them on the EventBrite ticket site. 

One final warning: do not attempt to report to the tour start location or the movie theater for a screening without first obtaining these physical tickets at the main ticket booth. Your QR codes on your phone or anything else are meaningless at the tour location and the movie theater. You must have already obtained physical tickets. If this happens, you will be turned away and sent back to the ticketing booth, and possibly will miss the beginning of the event.

LDW Merchandise Exclusive: Monroeville Mall Christmas Ornament and Tree Topper. A visit to the Monroeville mall at a Christmas past would be a hustling and bustling event. There you would see the doors of the mall adorned with the classic double M logo and over in the court, at the very top of the original c**k tower, you would see an odd looking dove. This dove became a featured set piece in the 1978 film, DAWN OF THE DEAD. We have lovingly recreated this symbol of peace, love, and zombie decay. What a better place for it, then perched at the top of your Christmas tree just like he originally sat on the top of the clock tower. The tree topper along with the classic Monroeville Mall logo ornament will be available in the Living Dead Museum gift shop, and also at our vendor booths in Hall A.

Living Dead Weekend map layout in Monroeville Mall. As you can see where utilizing three storefronts on the upper level on the JCPenney side. The ticketing booth can be found on that same end of the mall on the lower level in front of the court. The court is where the stage will be located. I must confess that when I first set out to re-create the autopsy room set from RE-ANIMATOR, I had serious doubts on whether it could be pulled off out of random objects and a low budget. But after spending only about seven days of creatively repurposing things, I think I succeeded in pulling it off. This will be featured in the professional photo ops with the RE-ANIMATOR main cast. This will be set up in our Friday night movie party while we’re playing reanimator on the screens directly beside it.

Tickets for Fotos are available on our ticket site and at the event itself. Unfortunately, Friday night movie party is already sold out, but if you already have a ticket, this is what you can expect.

FRIENDLY REMINDER FOR ALL LIVING DEAD WEEKEND: MONROEVILLE MALL TOUR ATTENDEES

1. Tours begin and end outside by Macy’s on the lower level back side of the mall. It’s the loading dock / biker entrance seen in the movie, which is on the opposite end of the mall from all the event activities. The starting place is seen in this picture. Please be early, tours will also start promptly at their scheduled start time because we have a lot of ground to cover and we don’t want to waste anyone’s time.

2. You do need your weekend or daily wristband passes to the show and your tour wristband too, pick these up at the Will Call Ticketing booth at the other end of the mall on the lower level by Dicks / JC Penney. Pick these up, well in advance of your tour.

3. Wear comfortable shoes. You might also want to go to the bathroom beforehand if possible, it’s about a 3 hour walking tour. See you all soon in the mall!
