Have you ever ridden by Lindsey Garrett Post 64 of the American Legion and wondered who Lindsey Garrett was? If you looked closely at the sign, you would see a small dash between the two names. Actually Lindsey and Garrett are two men for whom the post was named in 1925 when it was chartered as Walton County's first American Legion Post. Broadus B. Lindsey and William Grady Garrett were Walton County soldiers killed in action in World War I.
