At the Warren County History Museum, we keep history alive through preservation, hands-on education, and interesting events, including the annual Great Nicola Magic Festival. At the Warren County History Museum, we keep your history alive through preservation, hands-on education, and interesting events. Established in 1968 in Roseville, Illinois, the Warren County Historical Society was founded as

a non-profit and opened its museum in the former Roseville High School in 1970. We collect and preserve items that represent the history of our county and those who lived here. The tradition of preservation and exhibition continues today as we work to save and document our history and share this knowledge with the public.

We'd like to thank our volunteers and reenactors for making the Muster in Monmouth such a special event!

As part of the celebrations commemorating the 200th anniversary of Warren County, the Warren County Historical Society has been interviewing long-term county residents. Videos of these interviews can be found on our website. https://www.wchistorymuseum.com/oral-history-project.html

Julie Shaw, the treasurer of the Warren County Historical Society board, has conducted several of these interviews. Julie herself was interviewed about her experience with this project!
