Amani Doula Care

Amani Doula Care Encouraging peaceful birth through prenatal education, labor support, and postpartum follow up.

As a doula I offer services that educate expecting parents to help prepare them for birth and bring comfort and confidence to the labor and birth itself. Prenatal services may include basic childbirth education, preparing a birth plan, and learning comfort measures. I offer massage and other comfort measures, suggestions on labor and birth positions and generally a steady, warm presence to ease yo

ur labor and birth. Please know I am not taking the place of any support people but rather enhancing your birth team and helping you feel as comfortable, educated and encouraged as possible. I am also a certified lactation counselor and would love to support you on your breastfeeding journey, whether you are just starting out or you are working through challenges later in your baby's life. Please contact me for details on my rates, services and how I can help you with YOUR birth and breastfeeding experience.

Amazing!

A fabric womb made by Angélique du Coudray, a French midwife who was commissioned by King Louis XV to reduce infant mortality. From 1760 to 1783, she traveled all over France, visiting poor rural women and sharing her extensive knowledge with them. It is estimated that she trained some 10,000 women.
Du Coudray also invented the first lifesize obstetrical mannequin, for practicing mock births, and published a well-received midwifery textbook

Lovely words from a lovely person. Such an honor to support this birth.

Jesse's calm but strong presence helped make my birthing experience positive, empowering, and transformative . From my first intense contraction to my last glorious push, Jesse guided me in finding a rhythm and ritual that gave me the mental fortitude and physical comfort to make the contractions feel bearable and purposeful. Jesse helped to make the contractions physically easier by using counter pressure on my low back and hips. (Which felt amazing!) She also repeated positive affirmations and encouragement throughout the birth. I appreciated how she guided my husband into a participatory support role while making him feel more at ease in the midst of my child birthing intensity! I wholeheartedly recommend Jesse to enhance your birth experience. It is such an important day in your life, why not invest in something that will surely make it better!? After my son was born my husband said 'everyone needs a doula!' I can't agree more! Thanks Jesse for everything!
