The Museum tells this story through a 55,000 item archival collection much of which is is available online; a Conservation History Education Program hosting Teacher Training Workshops in partnership with the Library of Congress; traveling and online exhibits; and a beautiful 31-acre campus in Missoula, Montana that features an historic Ranger's cabin, gift shop, interpretive Forest Discovery Trail
, pack corral, "L-4" Fire Lookout, and a beautiful timber-framed Pavilion that hosts numerous well-attended mission-driven public events. A Capital Campaign to build our main facility on the Missoula campus, the National Conservation Legacy Center, is 90% of the way towards its $14.6M goal.
