Join us this Tuesday as we celebrate over 300 artists and the act of creative resistance itself.
The Rebel Loon Archive’s first edition hardcover book is fresh off the presses, and its pages are waiting to be seen and honored.
Hosted by Dual Citizen at the literal intersection of our two Twin Cities, there will be plenty of good b**r, lots of good music, and live screen prints by local community activist and artist Sean Lim.
This book is tangible. It’s visceral. It’s wildly eclectic in styles and mediums. We are inspired by the contributing artists and proud of the collective body of work we can now share with you.
Can you buy a book there? Unlikely. The first printing sold out, and while we’ve set aside a few copies for this event, they’ll go fast. However, even after those copies sell out, there will be books available to page through. We are currently taking pre-orders for the second printing at www.RebelLoon.art, which is expected to arrive in December or January.
Can you pick up your order there? If you already messaged and received a confirmation that your book will be waiting for you, sure! All other books will be mailed as soon as we’re able.
Grab a pint and have a seat, because there is enough art to keep you page-flipping for quite awhile. And take your time. This art may hit you harder than you expected. We’ve been through a lot, and these artists don’t shy away from the grief and anger of that.
Despite the darkness threading through these pages, this body of work exemplifies the idea that we’re stronger together.
