VERSIONS OF ME: THE ARTIST AS SUBJECT • self-portraiture • identity • alter ego • reflection • transformation •

The self-portrait allows artists to explore identity, experiment with representation, and record their presence in the world. In photography, the artist becomes both observer and observed.

Praxis seeks photographs that explore the artist as subject—from direct studies of the face and body to reflections, shadows, staged encounters, assumed identities, objects, environments, and traces of presence. Curators: Praxis Directors
