1) Pick out matched pairs of focal point beads from your vast stash.2) Choose accent and companion beads.3) Thread them...

1) Pick out matched pairs of focal point beads from your vast stash.
2) Choose accent and companion beads.
3) Thread them onto 20 guage wire top bead and top of bead first.
4) Use fine flat nose pliers to make tiny bend or fancy curl that will be the bottom of the earring.
5) Cut off wire at top of earring, leaving 1/2".
6) Curl the wire at top into an eye.
7) Make ear wires and attach.

Prairie Oak Artisans will be closed in protest to the state of constitutional emergency our nation is in as over 200 men are in a foreign prison after being taken away with no due process, unjust firings from government jobs of thousands continue, students are imprisoned for speaking their opinions, lawyers are threatened, members of the press are threatened, while our elected representative and judges are inactive or powerless.
Buy your gifts and art from my neighbors who rely on you for their livelihood and be kind and generous.
I hope our nation survives with some semblance of social justice and civil liberties intact.
Write your senators and representatives. Protest. Vote blue. Defend and shelter those vulnerable.

Had a chat with a gift shop clerk yesterday.
She was saying how overwhelmed and powerless she feels.
I passed on advice we talked about at the Bernie rally.
DO A TINY BIT AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN.
Make a list of the six or ten or fifteen things you are most concerned about.
Pick one for today. Only one. Write those five emails or make those five calls on that one topic.
When you write the first email, select and copy it before you send it. Then you can paste it into more emails instead of retyping it.
Consider pasting it to Facebook to be used by others.
When you are done, date the item on your list.
Do you have energy left? Consider doing one more topic. Exhausted by it? Step outside and take a deep breath. Just can't today? Try again tomorrow.
BE PART OF THE RESISTANCE. GET COUNTED AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN but give yourself grace when you just can't.
