Come home to the city’s old Post Office to enjoy this classic beauty and many more surprises! The Museum Board is inviting the public to a special Drive Through Event Exhibition of Decorations tomorrow (Friday) from 6-8 p.m. Bring the children by for a special treat to help Santa’s reindeer pull that heavy sleigh!

Join the historical museum on December 20th from 6-8pm for Reindeer Rendezvous night. As you drive through and enjoy the beautiful winter wonderland of lights display, the museum reindeers will greet you and hand out their magic food for Christmas Eve night.

We are ready for guests and to celebrate this afternoon and evening! In addition to the 15th anniversary and the Time Capsule Cornerstone Rededication (at 5 p.m. sharp), we have a fabulous new exhibit generously loaned by Kacey Musgraves from her Grammy win with Zach Bryan for "I Remember Everything." Come by, 5-7 p.m.

In conjunction with the 15th anniversary celebration of the Mineola Historical Museum, the Time Capsule Cornerstone Rededication will also be celebrated Monday, Sept. 9 at 5 p.m. The Cornerstone Rededication will begin promptly at 5 p.m. and will be a brief event to acknowledge the placement of a new time capsule box in the cornerstone of the 1936 former Mineola Post Office Building for a future generation. The Rededication is being held by the Landmark Commission. Museum Board members will serve refreshments from 5 to 7 p.m. for the celebration.

The museum enjoyed hosting the Blanche Harris, Lowe family reunion. Family members came from all over the country. Thank you to Pat Quattlebaum, Gloria Craig and Janae Holland for spending your Saturday at the museum.

The museum enjoyed hosting the Broad Street Church of Christ Youth Group today. Gloria Craig and Roger Lennon provided an informational tour of the museum for the kids to learn more about Mineola’s history. The museum is lucky to have Gloria and Roger. They love what they do. Good job guys👍

The Azalea Trail Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center visited the museum this morning. They were fun and really interested in the museum. We enjoyed their visit.

The Elizabeth Denton English Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution honored Sharon Chamblee and the Historical Museum Board Saturday morning in a ceremony at Harvest Acres Baptist Church for their countless hours of volunteer service to the community.
