I would like to thank everyone who has contacted myself sending messages and love, support, and prayers for our family as we strive to navigate another major loss in our Stevens Family. While still grieving the loss of our father Ernest L. Stevens Sr, September 26, 2025 we unexpectedly lost my Brother Ernest “Steve” L. Stevens Jr.

As our family takes the necessary time we need to heal and transition into this major change in our lives; I wanted to personally send out a Heart Felt thanks to all of the support my family and myself has received.

Yaw^ko! Thank you very much. With all the challenges we have in our lives and world; love is our greatest blessings. I hope for all of you, good health, and happiness.

With all of our love and prayers, both my Father and Big brother had such a beautiful send off as they rest in peace.

Late night rehearsals… I’m looking at various music; Art Songs and Opera Arias and pulled out Songs My Mother Taught me by Antonin Dvorak in German. I haven’t sung a lot of German but I love this Short but lovely and sweet Art Song.

Searching for my enjoyment of singing again… Looking at music and singing through the songs to rekindle my musical fire. Although this Art Song is for Mezzo… It forces me to try to sing as consistently as possible even if I am singing in German; I found that singing Legato in German can be a challenge with some of the distinctive consonants… This was good for me even if it’s a read through…

I am so appreciative of the opportunity to sing my favorite Aria, Vissi D'arte from the opera Tosca by Giacomo Puccini at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago! Seconds after this moment I received my first official professional Standing Ovation and wonderful Bravos, Bravissimas, cheers, and an amazing audience response!!! Truly a Milestone in my life.... You never know where your destiny will bring you!! Never give up ...
