This is one of the photos part of a series themed after "Blooming in your Identity" this piece features two trans-people holding hands on a floral chair, splitting the frame with blues and reds. They stare down the barrel of the camera as an act of recognizing the viewer and letting themselves be seen against the wild back drop.

David Hockney was an iconic British painter, printmaker, photographer, and stage designer who made some of the most memorable paintings of the 1960's Pop Art movement. He had a profound influence across the art world and inspired a series of homage paintings from our founder David Barnett. Hockney often made his own artistic homages to his idol, Pablo Picasso. This included several self portraits with Picasso after his death in 1973.

His vastly creative light will be deeply missed.
