The Board of Trustees of the New Hampshire Farm Museum in Milton,
New Hampshire is pleased to announce that
Executive Director,
Jon Hotchkiss,
has been selected by Volunteer NH as the recipient of its 2026 Spirit of NH in the Senior category!!

Hotchkiss, who admirably serves this role in a voluntary capacity, is being recognized for his 25 plus years as a volunteer at the New Hampshire Farm Museum, serving in a variety of roles from property maintenance ,. old time tool demonstrations,
program and event reenactment, animal care, grant writing, and more.

In 2023, he worked extensively with the Board of Trustees and the Town of Milton to spearhead the transfer of Milton's historic 1801 Plummer Ridge School House Number One to the New Hampshire Farm Museum on White Mountain Highway.

The transfer and renovations were completed a year and a half ahead of schedule!!

Congratulations, Jon!

The award will officially be presented at the Chubb Center for the Arts in Concord on Monday, October 26th.

And now it's your turn! Congratulatory notes can be sent to Jon Hotchkiss, NHFM, P.O. Box 644, Milton, NH 03851. These will be presented to Jon at the next Board of Trustees meeting in November.

Blacksmith Keegan Quinn prepares the Blacksmith Shoppe recently at the New Hampshire Farm Museum for a school group!

Come explore the history of Thanksgiving and meet the woman who served as the inspiration behind one national day of Thanksgiving, New Hampshire's own
Sarah Josepha Hale.

The dining room table will be set with traditional Victorian Thanksgiving fare.

Mulled C***r and roasted popcorn served outside at the fire pit.

Tractor rides to explore our fifty plus acre farm and see our farm friendly animals grazing in their pastures.

Sample Victorian recipes and foods at the historic Plummer Homestead dating back to the 1700's!

The GSSR'S Classic car shows at the New Hampshire Farm Museum are a return to yesteryear!

Look for the Museum's 2027 calendar of events on our website at www.nhfarmmuseum.org beginning in January, 2027.

Car shows are always the second Saturday of each month from June to October at the New Hampshire Farm Museum, 1305 White Mountain Highway in Milton, NH. Please contact Janet Hotchkiss, M.S., Program Director at 603-652-7840 for more details!

Classic Car and Truck enthusiasts swarmed into the New Hampshire Farm Museum for the final Granite State Street Rodders Classic Car Show on Saturday, October 10th.

GSSR'S Roger Pacquette and Eric Pilcher directed the steady flow of cars and trucks onto the fields and in back of the barn and house.

Food was prepared and served by Museum staff Roxanne Weymouth, Lisa Buber, Peggy Cameron, Janet Hotchkiss and Tony Lanfair.

Look for the return of the Granite State Street Rodders Classic Car Show in 2027 on the second Saturday of each month from June to October.

Watch for our new calendar of events in January on our website at www.nhfarmmuseum.org. The New Hampshire Farm Museum is located at 1305 White Mountain Highway in Milton, NH.
