FLW SWPA - Gallery Reveal

Presenting unrealized projects Wright designed for the Fallingwater site from the 1930s through the 1950s, this exhibition examines how his vision might have impacted the surrounding rural landscape.

Emma Baiada 2023 Fallingwater Institute Artist-in-Residence
Emma Baiada, a talented filmmaker, first came to Fallingwater in 2021 as a Fallingwater Institute Artist-in-Residence. She shares, "I had an idea for a project, then I realized it wasn't working as I thought it would." She pivoted after this discovery and connected to her art-making process further.

For the teen who wants an immersive in-person studio-based learning experience, a High School Residency can propel self-discovery and provide a foundation to explore careers. In both "Frank Lloyd Wright's Southwestern Pennsylvania," and the "Fallingwater Projects," Brian Eyerman and Lu Eyerman of Skyline Ink did an extraordinary amount of research for the new exhibitions.
For the projects specific to Fallingwater, the animators came several times to visit. They paid attention to site the unrealized constructions in the originally proposed locations. They even noted the native trees and plants. No detail was too small.

Jen Maidment is an oil painter from Leeds, United Kingdom, currently living and working in South Wales. Since 2022, she has been creating staff portraits as the focus of her Fallingwater Institute Artist-in-Residence experience.
