Restoration Update…

The HAPS 1931 Fleet Model 8 biplane is making progress toward flying again. Recent engine work includes:
New rocker arms
New hoses
Overhauled carb
Refurbished magnetos
And lots of other work…

BIG THANKS to Doug Platten for all his great work. He has invested a huge number of hours to restore the airframe and engine. His experience and passion for the project is greatly appreciated.

The new prop from Sensenich has been installed for a test fit. This new wooden propellor is a beautiful, honey-colored work of art.

The next step is an engine test run. Stayed tuned for more updates.

Thanks to all for your generous support of this project. Thank you.

Save the Date... Saturday, May 17

The annual Armed Forces Day Fly-In is returning to Greenville, TX Majors Field. Featuring WWII aircraft, vintage and classic airplanes, food trucks, and kids activities, this fly-in has become a must see in Greenville.

Our featured airplane this year is the famous C-47 "That's All Brother." This is the actual aircraft that led the D-Day Invasion of Europe. It was the lead airplane in a formation of hundreds of aircraft on that fateful day. Climb aboard and witness history.

Set aside Saturday, May 17 and bring the family.
