We inspire exploration and interaction with the arts, science, history and culture. The Museum of the Southwest is a multidisciplinary institution founded in 1965. The Museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and has spent more than 50 years serving the Midland and West Texas communities by producing exhibitions, programs and events about art, archaeology, history and science. The Museum of the Southwest is comprised of the Turner Memorial Art Museum, Marian Blakemore Planetarium, Fredda Turner Durham Children's Museum, and a public sculpture collection. All-campus admission of $10 for adults, $5 for children gains entrance to Turner Memorial Art Museum, Marian Blakemore Planetarium, and Fredda Turner Durham Children's Museum.

A $125 Household Membership costs about 34 cents a day. For a household of four, that is less than 9 cents per person a day.

Plan one play date each week, and membership costs about $2.40 per family visit—or 60 cents per person.
