There are seasons in your life when you meet a human being that stays with you long after their time with you. That for me was Alleada McKell. She was one of the cornerstones of the Baptist Church while I was there. I never heard a harsh word, or anything ever spoken out of anger. She simply just radiated love. She was extremely generous, but not a pushover. She lived her faith like I have never seen many do. She’s sang old Kentucky Appalachian hymns. She had a twang to her voice that only came from living in those mountains. She was a simple woman but incredibly complex in the way she loved other human beings. I have not seen her in 20 years or better, but I always felt her unconditional love. She lived 102 years. If we could all but practice only a fraction of humanity she showed to others…the world would be a better place for all❤️‍🩹
