Great time!!

Some of the activities at Belle Grove this weekend. A flag and weapons display, period music in the Parlor, a game of graces on the lawn, programs by Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park, plus blacksmithing all continuing Sunday 10-4! Admissions to the house is $5 for those 12 and older and free for activities on the property.

The Battle of Church Street foraging event returns this Friday 10/15 at 5:30pm to benefit CCAP of Wi******er!

Participating homes on Church Street that want to donate canned goods will be adorned with yellow ribbons. 💛 Volunteers will be going door to door this week to promote the event. Don't live on Church Street and still want to participate? Just bring your canned goods to the Middletown town office on Friday at 5:15pm and get a good seat before the reenactment starts!

Please join us tonight as we celebrate the 225th anniversary of our beloved town AND the 40th anniversary of our friends at the nonprofit Blue Ridge Hospice! We are holding a free fireworks show for the public that will be displayed to music. You don't want to miss this! 🎆 🎉 🍾

At the council meeting last night, Robbie Rhodes, donated an 1852 land grant from, Virginia Governor Joseph Johnson, to his ancestor, John Rhodes. The document is made of sheep skin and displays the state seal on top. (See close-up picture in comments) The grant was for a one acre lot on main street Middletown. 📜

Patriotic Posies - Children of all ages please come to the Shop Saturdays in June the 12th, 19th, and 26th to create your own posy. Posies will bloom out front during the 4th of July Parade when everyone can vote for their favorite. $1 = 1 vote. Proceeds go to the Middletown's Veterans Memorial.
