Today was the client review day for the Lamar Medical Museum in Middletown, Maryland. This location has an amazing history with not a lot of information readily available. The building was purchased by Dr. Lamar in 1905 and a large addition was added to accommodate his practice in 1906. He practiced medicine there from 1907 to 1932 when he died. The hospital/ sanitarium had 21 rooms; including a parlor, reception room, dining room, office, examining room, bedrooms, bathrooms, a laboratory, operating room, and a recovery room. Currently the building houses an environmental company with offices on the 1st and 2nd floor, surgery and recovery rooms intact, with a museum area where the examining room once was.
The owners called us in because of strange circumstances noted by them and others in the community. I will be honest I have wanted to investigate this location ever since I have been investigating. Even as a child and teen the building fascinated me. We asked to not be told any information so that we could go in without any preconceived ideas of what type of activity was occurring. I personally was told by a friend from high school that she saw someone in the attic window frequently while on her porch. This apparently has been seen repeatedly, and was confirmed today that it is seen to be a young boy. They believe that it is the spirit of a young child that was injured locally and eventually died at Lamar's hospital/ sanitarium.
The investigation we completed on June 18th was not without paranormal experiences, in fact we actually captured a few of the sounds and voices we heard on audio. But the real activity was occurring without us knowing. We captured quite a few EVP; enough to tell us that there is at least one male and a child, and at least two females. One female seems older than the other. These EVP were mostly captured in the basement, back attic, and the first floor. The client states that the rescue cats she has in the building will stare off into the front hall of the first floor as if something has them transfixed. Based on the basement EVP we note that the female is always berating someone saying, "I'm telling...Go" and "Take it back". Like children fighting. The spirits seem to interact with us and our discussions/ questions however they don't seem ready to communicate fully. We do believe that with subsequent investigations we will gain trust with the spirits of the Lamar building and we will hopefully get some responses as to who exactly we are hearing. This time however we got a lot of sighs, warnings of "...coming up" when a team was on their way to the attic, and being told to "Be quiet" when a team member pointed out a shadow near the sinks in the basement. We are so excited to say that we will be returning very soon and we hope that the responses are as plentiful! We hope to have some of the EVP up on You Tube over the coming week.

It's taken us some time to get through all of our data from the Lamar Medical Museum and we are finally compiling our Final Report for the investigation. While it may say Final Report we hope that this is the not end of trying to find out more about the activity present in the building. We are hoping to meet with the clients in the next week to share the information and maybe even share with all of you. It is an amazing location with such an amazing potential.

Last night the owners of the Lamar Building/ Medical Museum gave us a warm welcome and we enjoyed every minute. We had a lot of disembodied voices heard throughout the night and some footsteps. We didn't have any conclusive equipment manipulation but we are hopeful that our audio captured some AVP and EVP. The APS Crew will do review and share any data with the client but we do hope to return for another investigation.
