Rocket Lab has been awarded a $90 million contract by the U.S. Space Force's Space Systems Command to design, manufacture, integrate, and operate two geostationary satellites hosting the Heimdall space domain awareness payload produced by Rocket Lab Optical Systems.

Rocket Lab components have long played an essential role in many GEO programs, but this is our first satellite production program for geostationary orbit. The two satellites will be built on our Lightning bus, adapted for the thermal, radiation, propulsion, and station-keeping demands of GEO.

The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum will be closed on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, so our dedicated volunteers can spend the day celebrating with their families.

We wish all mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and families a wonderful and meaningful Mother’s Day.

It is especially fitting to recognize that Glenn L. Martin’s biggest inspiration and supporter was his mother, Minta Martin, whose encouragement helped shape one of aviation’s great pioneers.

Regular flightline tour hours at Martin State Airport, 701 Wilson Point Road, Hangar Five, Suite 531, are:
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
10:30 am to 3:30 pm

Admission is $4 per person for all ages.

Make it a great Mother’s Day with the people you love most.

Did you see us in the press?

We are proud to be featured by Baltimore Fishbowl, highlighting our latest exhibition, Flights in Full Bloom, now on display at The Shops at Kenilworth in Towson.

This exciting exhibition showcases the rich history of Middle River’s Martin State Airport through model airplanes and aviation memorabilia placed throughout the mall, creating an immersive experience for the community.

A special thank you to Baltimore Fishbowl for the coverage and to our partner, The Shops at Kenilworth, for collaborating with us to bring this vision to life.

Exhibiting now through June, this is another step forward in making aviation history more accessible, engaging, and visible to all.
