Area Artists Association

This Chicago Tribune piece is a beautiful tribute to Larry A Brechner. He was a dependable support person who I could always turn to when I was the vice president and then president of the Area Artists Association. He was a long-term member and helped update our bylaws many times. He was always someone I could turn to for advice. I'm so sad that he has left us so soon. He did many things for the Arts and artists in Northwest Indiana, including leading the effort to save the South Shore Arts in Munster when the building was going to be given to the school district there, and his interviews on Art on the Air leaves a lasting legacy of artists in Northwest Indiana. You will be missed Larry. And I'm so glad that I can call you my friend. Rest in Peace.

Diane Grams, past president, Area Artists Association
