Reminiscent of cell growth, Gustavo Oviedo’s Genesis marks a beginning to creation. Through layered colors, sharp line work, and organic borders, Oviedo captures the moment before a cell divides and duplicates. He beautifully reminds us of our beginnings and that science & creation are interconnected. We are all reflected here, participating in the same growth when we each create something new.

There is something truly special about textile & fabric arts. The labor of love and centuries of techniques notably shine through every piece.

A very special thank you to Coconut Grove Theatre Festival for this beautiful theater production. We were delighted to host such incredible talent in our space. There is something truly magical that happens when artistic disciplines come together, and last night, it was felt in the air.

Remarkable work by the entire Coconut Grove Theatre Festival team.

ARRAE and the Coconut Grove Theater Fest share a belief in showcasing just how talented and special Miami’s arts community is, and in how meaningful activations and community can bring authentic, genuine encounters with the arts back to Coconut Grove.

Special thanks to Damián Pardo for supporting our local arts and artists and for recognizing that arts and culture are the soul of our city.

ManD’oh, for live painting the embodiment of If These Walls and bringing another artistic dimension to the evening.

Allen Penniman, for lending your remarkable Intermission to become the face of the production and playbill.

Grove Grocer, thank you for the delicious food and tea. I think I’ve officially found my new favorite food spot in the Grove.

And William Hector, here’s to hopefully the first of many. 🥂

Thank you to everyone who came out, filled the gallery, and helped make the evening what it was. This is exactly the kind of creative community we want to continue building in Coconut Grove.

Coconut Grove may not be the town I grew up in, but it is the town that raised me.

I find myself endlessly drawn to old photographs of the Grove and the stories they hold. My own art practice is rooted in memory and nostalgia, so it makes sense that the gallery I built is, in many ways, an homage to the Grove’s days as a thriving arts community. It was here that I first discovered what an artistic community could be.

This photograph was taken long before my time, but it captures something I still feel today. A spirit of creativity, connection, and possibility. What a wonderful moment to imagine, and what a privilege it is to be part of the Grove’s story, however small my chapter may be.

Can you guess what cross street this is?

Step into Tropical Oasis with us.

From the reflective pool to lush greenery, artist Amy Kutell delivers a retreat from bustling city life. A calming scene invites the viewer to pause, reflect and place themselves at the pool. The sounds of flowing water and chirping birds can almost be heard, turning this painting into a full experience.
