--> Art lovers and the community are invited to experience a unique artistic exploration where analog and technology meld together in unexpected ways at [IN BETWEEN] | RETROSPECTIVE JOURNEYS, a three-day pop-up exhibition featuring artists Susan Holland and Romi Myers at MIArt Space Gallery in the heart of Miami's Wynwood Arts District. Taking place Labor Day Weekend, the exhibition opens with an Opening Reception on Friday, September 4th, 2026, from 6–9pm, followed by public viewing hours on Saturday, September 5th, and Sunday, September 6th, from 12–6pm. Inviting visitors into a thoughtful dialogue between creativity, innovation, and personal reflection, the exhibition explores journeys, memories, and ideas expressed through art and wearable pieces. --> The Frank Pembroke Pines presents two new exhibition projects opening September 17, 2026: Hyphenated Encounters, a collaborative presentation with Deering Estate featuring the work of Cuban American artist Lilian Garcia-Roig, and Discord and Serenity, curated by RemiJin Camping and featuring works by Barry University MFA students Joy Johnson and Bruna Marcon Weber. Hyphenated Encounters brings together two interconnected curatorial projects—Lilian Garcia-Roig: A Practice of Place, curated by Sophie Bonet, Chief Curator of The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery, and Deering Estate Residency: Lilian Garcia-Roig, Site, and the Labor of Belonging, curated by Liliam Dominguez, Head Curator of Deering Estate. Together, these presentations offer audiences an expansive exploration of place, identity, memory, perception, and the complex inner and outer worlds explored through contemporary art. The exhibition presents a selection of abstract paintings by Zimbabwean artist Keith Zenda, offering audiences an opportunity to explore his distinctive artistic language and the ideas emerging from his practice. Presented by Artgal.Online and the Artgal Zim Center, the exhibition is part of a broader initiative connecting Zimbabwean artists and artistic voices with collectors, curators, cultural institutions, and audiences internationally. Keith Zenda is a leading contemporary Zimbabwean artist known for his distinctive visual language often described as “Zendaism.” His work combines bold symbolism, spiritual narratives, and elements of African mythology to explore identity, transformation, and human consciousness. Through expressive compositions and strong use of color, Zenda creates powerful, layered works that bridge tradition and contemporary thought. --> Tsika Dzedu: Zimbabwe National Exhibition & Competition 2026 will provide another major platform for artists and the broader cultural community. The exhibition and competition will take place at the Artgalzim Center in Domboshava from September 8–12, 2026, culminating in the vernissage and awards ceremony on September 12. Following the event, the selected artworks will remain on exhibition at the Artgal Zim Center for a further three weeks, extending the opportunity for audiences to experience the work beyond the opening celebrations. Sampson Kuvenguhwa is a contemporary Zimbabwean sculptor whose work is deeply connected to the traditions and spiritual heritage of Shona stone sculpture. His sculptural practice explores themes of spirit, ancestry, continuity, nature, and the relationship between the physical and spiritual worlds. Working primarily in stone, he creates expressive forms that reflect Zimbabwe’s rich sculptural traditions while engaging contemporary audiences through powerful, symbolic compositions. His work forms an important part of the artistic community being developed and supported through Artgal.Online and the Artgal Zim Center in Domboshava.
