Feria Clandestina is an incubator art fair presenting local, national, and international proposals that embrace curatorial challenges and dialectical continuity within the cultural landscape.

On the fifth anniversary of the fair, we continue expanding our focus as a collateral art initiative and a channel of participation for artists, galleries, and independent projects; providing a platform that maintains environmental conditions to support the development and growth of experimentation.

Exhibition dates: Dec 3–5 at Gold Dust Motel, Miami.

As the year gently comes to a close, we want to pause and thank you, sincerely and wholeheartedly, for being part of Clandestina.

With each edition, Clandestina continues to evolve, and this year made that transformation especially clear. Thanks to your participation, generosity, and willingness to engage beyond the transactional, the fair has grown into something much more than an exhibition platform. Together, you have helped shape Feria Clandestina into a true incubator, one where ideas are tested, practices are strengthened, relationships are formed, and long-term growth is nurtured through community.

Your presence, and your openness turned this edition into a living ecosystem. Every conversation, risk, collaboration, and moment of exchange contributed to an environment rooted in trust, experimentation, and mutual support. It is because of you that Clandestina feels alive, grounded not only in what is shown, but in how we gather, learn, and grow together.

We are profoundly grateful for the time, energy, and care each artist brought to this edition. None of it goes unnoticed. Their commitment continues to push the fair forward and reminds us why building spaces like this truly matters.

As we enter the winter holidays, we hope you find time to slow down, rest, and reconnect with loved ones, with inspiration, and with yourself. May this season offer warmth and reflection, and may the year ahead bring renewed clarity, creativity, and opportunity.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue supporting projects beyond the fair. Beginning in February 2026, we will launch new exhibition opportunities along with a series of workshops specifically for our exhibitors, designed to share tools, encourage dialogue, and further strengthen the community that has made Clandestina what it is today. More details will be shared soon, and we genuinely hope you’ll join us.

Our Committee allows to stay on track, endure challenges, and reminds us to enjoy the ride.

Meet Melanie Prapopulos | Wisdom wrapped in Threads of Social Discourse


Viewing curation as an opportunity to learn and to experience art as a lens for understanding society, Melanie Prapopulos has been curating for over a decade across galleries, art fairs, and museums. Central to her approach is examining how society is reflected in the work of the artists she presents. She believes that art speaks truths, and her guiding question is: What does the artist reveal about the world we live in, and what can we learn from them?

Equally important to her practice is her attention to how artworks cross disciplines and how they can blossom into tools for awakening. Drawing on her academic background—as both student and professor—Prapopulos brings a deep intellectual curiosity to her search for universals and underlying suggestions, sometimes even those unrecognized by the artists themselves. Her curatorial process opens a door to expansive interpretations and conversations, always with the aim of making art accessible to all.

This philosophy is most clearly embodied in her annual exhibition Women Pulling at the Threads of Social Discourse, now in its seventh year. In this series, Prapopulos reads textile works as acts of subversion—artists transforming the traditionally gendered medium of thread into a powerful voice. Rather than passive craft, these works become active statements, weaving truths that insist on being seen.

FERIA CLANDESTINA 2025: HERE NOW | AQUÍ AHORA

Feria Clandestina returns for its fourth edition, reaffirming its place as Miami’s only community-incubator art fair, in collaboration with Activate Hospitality and the iconic Gold Dust Motel.

HERE NOW | AQUÍ AHORA gathers 29 exhibitor rooms, 5 special projects, and 90 artists—creating an experimental ecosystem for research, exchange, and curatorial experimentation.

Highlights include solo and collaborative presentations by Heather Couch & Terry Rybovich, Jon Davis, Anabel Delgado Harrington, Carin Ingalsbe & Hannah Banciella, and Yuko Yamaguchi.

Site-specific installations by Ilay Azoulay’s She Carries (Room 210), Raissa Bailey’s Venus Rising / Axiom Schema (Room 206), and Olivia Lambiasi’s Everything After (Room 218)—works that trace the politics of place, gender, and transformation.

Welcoming Galería Unión (CDMX) with a solo by MinSeok Chi’s Coca-Cola Series; The CAMP Gallery (Miami) with Nancy Tobin; and Curio Program, featuring James Akers, Remijin Camping, Katrina Majkut, Stefano Ogliari Badessi, Manju Shandler, Christine Lee Taylor, and more.

We are thrilled to embrace our community, and announce as a first time non profit participant; and fair-cult exhibitors for the fourth consecutive year.

2025 Special Projects expand across the property: John DeFaro, Mark Herrera, Margaret Roleke, and Nancy Tobin, with a live collaboration by VJ 2Urn on opening night; plus some solid gold activations.
