Similarly in music: when two strings have the same frequency, when one vibrates, so will the other (even though it was not struck). wood’s art allows the viewer to experience the resonance that connects the physical world with conscious spiritual qualities – a tangible reflection of vibrations of the soul, body, spheres, and the cosmos in hopes for an appreciation for the oneness of beauty. wood is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana USA, who began painting at a very young age. d. wood has always had a passion for music and art as well as the study of philosophy, culture, architecture, religion, government, and history. wood’s pieces were started after the experience of riding out Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. With the loss of community, connections, and resources, d.h. wood created works of art to fill the many lonely hours as the beloved City of New Orleans crawled back to life. Now a thriving City, d. wood continues to bring beauty and hope through art to all that are near.
