Our purpose is to preserve, through living history, early farming techniques, the appreciation of antique engines, occupations and cultures in small towns and rural areas of early Kansas. We have 3 annual events open to the Public:
Summer Tractor and Threshing Show - 3rd full weekend in July
Fall Festival and Swap Meet - 4th full weekend in September
Bloomfield Bazaar and Soup Supper - 1st Saturday in November

We are a non-profit organization under the 501(c)(3) statute.

Tickets for the 2026 Bloomfield Quilt raffle will be available starting this week at the Denison State Bank in Meriden. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. We will draw for it at the end of the Bloomfield Chili and Soup Supper and Bazaar on November 7. You need not be present to win!!!

As you have heard in earlier posts, the raw sorghum this year has been very sweet, resulting in a very sweet, smooth finished sorghum. A lot of people have been picking some up, make sure you get by the sorghum shack and get yours, use it in place of sweetener, on pancakes or waffles, in coffee, cookies, cake, or right out of the jar! They have it in several sizes!

The blacksmith shop has a lot of original and very nice items made in the shop for sale. Hot dog sticks, fire pokers, fire pit stands and kettle hangers, boot jacks, steak turners, wall hangers, key chains, and horseshoe art. A lot of it made from bolts, railroad spikes and rod. You can her some Christmas shopping out of the way!
