Michaela Savell is a Boston-based painter who creates colorful impressionist landscapes that feel like home. Whether it’s New England favorites or travel landscapes, she favors everyday views that feel like discovering a place for the first time rather than tourist‑driven impressions. She works in acrylic on wood panel, creating undersketches in graphite and Prismacolor marker to form pieces that offer both visual depth and whimsy.

It kind of feels like dropping a pet off at a great new home. You’re excited because you know he’s going to make someone else happy, but you still wonder if it’s the last time you’ll ever see him.

Hopefully he finds the right home. Until then, I’ll probably stop by the gallery every now and then just to check in on him. You should stop in and see him too before he’s gone. You can find him at Bayview Artisan Gallery in Meredith.
