Judith Dierkes' Pop Up Art Gallery Interactive installation in the front yard. A Snowball's Chance challenges the public to be a part of the solution. Commit. Get a snowflake.

A socially active installation challenging the general public to commit to treating all living things with respect. The artist will add white fabric to the Grinch green sphere based on how many people commit. To commit take a snowflake, which says "I am part of the solution". After 200 people commit the ball will be completely covered in white fabric, the flames and the melting lights removed.

A SHOW OF HANDS
By Judith Dierkes

Artist Statement
I began formulating A SHOW OF HANDS in 1998. I became interested in images of hands after my attunement to Reiki (a method of natural healing). As a visual artist, I use my hands constantly. The word hand is a noun, verb and adjective with countless meanings. Visually the hand is a symbol of being human. From the earliest petroglyphs to American folk art, images of hands are unique signatures of humankind. This is my third exhibit with this theme, but certainly not my last.
