Rio Blanco County Historical Society and White River Museum The Rio Blanco County Historical Society was founded in 1949 and shortly thereafter opened the White River Museum! It covers two townships: Meeker and Rangely.

Rio Blanco Historical Society is a non-profit organization that functions in Rio Blanco County in Northwest Colorado. It also governs and promotes the White River Museum in Meeker, Colorado. Our White River Museum is open daily ~ free to the public.

On this day, September 29, we remember the men who died defending their country at Milk Creek Battlefield. This included the men of U.S. Army and the men of the Ute Tribe. On this day, lives were lost, culture was lost, and the Ute People lost their homeland.

After years of Bingo being held on the same day every month, we think it is time for a change! The Rio Blanco County Historical Society Bingo will now be held on the first Saturday of the month! The next game will be held on Saturday, October 3rd. Doors open at 6:00 P.M. Games start at 6:30. Pass it on!
