Out of State folks Steve Ferguson and Dana Ferguson Hall visited the Museum today! They are children of Edwin Ferguson and grandchildren Sandy and Cecil Ferguson, early pioneers. An extra treat is we share family genealogy. They are also related to Gary Rogers and family and Ruth McLennan’s family. What a treat! Jeanene Stermer

Prairie View, located just east of the present-day Farmers Valley Creamery, was one of many small communities which had a school within walking distance of residents, and had a church still in use until the 1970’s (please correct me if that date is wrong). Please share any memories of Prairie View in the comments.

John Finley was gracious to share these pictures of his grandfather, James Hopkins, at Kings High. John also shared the following:
My Grandfather, James Hopkins was #9 on the team. These are from 1936-1937. My grandmother, Bobbie Hopkins graduated in 36. My grandfather, 37. He had to quit school one year to help on the farm. If I'm not mistaken, Bobbie was one of the last or the last graduate of Kings High to survive. She passed in 2020 at age 100. Almost 101!

Thank you so much for sharing, John!
