I want to solve a museum mystery. We have views in a book-style box entitled Selected Subjects. The Internet says customers could choose their own selection of views to arrive in that box, but I want to verify that using an old catalog or other printed source. Erie's Perry Monument, honoring Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, just turned 100 years old. Alas, I have no image of the monument, so I'm resharing this view of the Brig Niagara, which Perry boarded after his own ship was destroyed during the War of 1812. Before computers were everywhere the Keystone View Co. kept track of stereoview production by pasting a yellow paper on the back of a sample view, writing down the production date, number of views made, and how many were usable. Stop by the museum this weekend from 10 to 4 to learn more.

The Keystone View Co. 'scope factory is in the background, and the smaller building is the drying kiln where lumber was dried before being used for stereoscopes and cabinets.
