New Release!

I love seeing the bright red cardinal and its mates at my bird feeders,they eat a lot of sunflower seeds. Native to North America, and Central America, the Northern Cardinal is the state bird of seven US states, more than any other species. It is now illegal to cage or have them as a pet, which has enabled to keep them protected and their population from further declining. They were once highly prized because of their color and song, in the 18th and 19th centuries, and traded to all parts of the world.
Their brilliant red feathers are fascinating to draw, I used various reds in the many shades throughout their body. Original is SOLD.

New Release!!!

I adore the fur of the red fox and enjoyed drawing all the shades, from rust to orange. I am also delighted with their eyes! When they are first born the kit’s eyes are blue then eventually turn to amber.
I also read an interesting fact that there are over 10,000 red foxes living in London and apparently are much bigger than their rural counterparts! One red fox was tracked in the UK moving 195 miles in 21 days through the countryside.
