Calling all Girl Scouts! Join us at IMAS for a series of hands-on Mechanical Engineering workshops where scouts can build, experiment, and discover the science behind how things move!

Each workshop is designed for a different Girl Scout level, offering exciting opportunities to put engineering concepts into action.

🚗 Daisy | Mechanical Engineering Model Car
📅 Saturday, October 24 | 10:30 AM–12 PM
Design, build, and test your own model car! Daisies will explore friction and gravity as they experiment with their wheels and race their cars down ramps.

🏁 Brownie | Mechanical Engineering Race Car
📅 Saturday, February 13 | 10:30 AM–12 PM
Race to the finish line! Brownies will experiment with force and motion, explore different car shapes, materials, and wheels, then work as a team to design a racetrack for their creations.

🎈 Junior | Mechanical Engineering Balloon Car
📅 Saturday, April 17 | 10:30 AM–12:30 PM
Discover potential and kinetic energy while exploring jet propulsion! Juniors will design and build balloon-powered cars, using air to propel their creations into action.

Experience music through a new lens at the UTRGV Concert Series at IMAS.

Join us Sunday, October 18, from 2–3 PM for Rouge, Gold, Azul (Color in Music) featuring pianist Kenneth Saxon.

Performing across three continents, Saxon is celebrated for his wide-ranging repertoire and distinctive approach to music. Through color, touch, and timing, he creates vibrant sound worlds that invite audiences to make unexpected connections between music and everyday life.

Included with General Admission. Free for IMAS Members and UTRGV College of Fine Arts Patrons of the Arts.
