The 2027 nomination period for awardees at our upcoming 38th Annual Dr. MLK Jr. Celebration and Community Awards Gala Fundraiser is now open. Our theme will be: "REMAINING AWAKE AND VIGILANT AS WE PRESERVE THE DREAM”

The event will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2027, at the Elm West 681 W. North Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126 beginning at
6:00 P.M.

Please submit your nomination forms and supporting documentation to us by November 15, 2026, to allow our Governing Board time to review all nominations thoroughly and make selections.

Operation Uplift Inc. and Its West Town Museum of Cultural History mourn the loss of our Longtime, Advisory Board and Friends of the Museum Committee Member.

Mrs. Louise Denton Jones was part of the Educational Framework of this THE IRVING SCHOOL and Proviso Township Community! She has touched the lives of many students, as she demanded Stellar Achievement of her pupils.

We offer our Sincere Condolences to the Denton-Jones Family During this Trying Time. Her Contributions to Service within her Community will never be forgotten!!!

She was a True Community Pillar and will be Dearly Missed!!! 🙏🏿🖤👊🏾
