The Bank Art Space “The Bank”

Beginning in 2021, the home of Matfield Green Works is being reimagined.

In 2021, the Bank is being reimagined by our partners at Design+Make Studio at Kansas State University as a modern-day art and welcome center to help people make deeper connections with the prairie and its inhabitants. In addition it will feature an outdoor area for art and hospitality as well as loft for resident artists and guest lodging.

Posted • is pleased to announce this year’s Design+Make Studio: Ways of Seeing, Little Jerusalem & The Bank. In this Capstone Graduate Architecture Studio we will explore what it means to create and rehabilitate facilities that assist in the rapid orientation of visitors, and in the forging of community around deceptively complex characteristics of place that make each of our project sites noteworthy on a global scale.
