They came to learn art… and left with so much more.

Mixed Media Abstraction Camp I & II were filled with color, creativity, laughter, movement, and SO much imagination!

Our young artists explored layers, textures, collage, color, mark-making, and abstract expression. But somewhere between the paint, the experiments, and the creative surprises…

💃 We danced.
😂 We laughed.
🎨 We got messy.
❤️ We encouraged each other.
🌈 And we created some truly exceptional art!

Every child found their own voice through color and form, and watching their confidence grow with every layer was one of the most rewarding parts of the camp.

And then came our favorite moment… the last day!

We transformed the studio into a little gallery, putting all of their beautiful paintings up on the gallery wall for our Parent Show & Tell. Watching the kids proudly stand beside their artwork and share their creations with their families was absolutely priceless.

Those weren’t just paintings on a wall.
They were stories, ideas, discoveries, and little pieces of each artist’s imagination.

Two camps.
So many masterpieces.
Countless giggles.
And memories we’ll carry long after the paint dries.

So proud of our young artists! Keep creating, keep exploring, and most importantly—keep having fun while you do it!

Here we go!
A Week of Mindfulness, Creativity & Smiles!!

What an incredible week we had at our Mindful Patterns & Symmetry Camp! ❤️

Watching these young artists arrive each day with excitement and curiosity was the highlight of my week. Every session brought something new to discover—from understanding the beauty of symmetry and learning how to create intricate patterns to experimenting with different art tools, color mediums, and creative techniques.

The children learned to decorate and embellish their creations with confidence while developing patience, focus, and an eye for design. It was wonderful to see each child’s unique personality shine through their art.

The best part? They genuinely looked forward to coming every day, eager to learn, create, laugh, and share their ideas with one another. Seeing their confidence grow with every artwork was truly rewarding.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here!

Our amazing summer camps are over, and I took what was supposed to be a short break… which somehow turned into a much longer one! 😊

Now I’m easing back into the studio, painting more, experimenting with new ideas, and creating fresh pieces for some exciting upcoming art fairs and shows. I can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on!

In the meantime, stay tuned! Over the next few posts, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite moments and beautiful artwork from this summer’s art camps. There were so many smiles, creative breakthroughs, and masterpieces that deserve to be celebrated. 💙🎨

What a beautiful week we had at our Stained Glass & Color Camp! 💛❤️
These 5-day camps are about so much more than the finished artwork. The real magic is in the journey—the experimenting, creating, laughing, learning, and finding joy in the process. When children truly enjoy what they’re doing and pour their hearts into their art, the beautiful pieces naturally follow.
Watching each child grow in confidence and creativity throughout the week was such a gift. I had the most wonderful time with these amazing young artists!
The smiles on their faces, the pride in their eyes, and the excitement to share their creations with family told me everything I needed to know. Those are the moments I treasure most. 💕
This week we’re wrapping up our Nature-Inspired Art Camp, and what another fun, creative adventure it has been.
Our final camp of the summer begins next week: Mindful Patterns & Symmetry. We still have a few spots available if you’re looking for a last-minute art camp where kids can create, explore, and have a joyful, meaningful creative experience.

What a beautiful and inspiring two days of wool needle felting camp at Art by Deepaat Studio & Gallery!

The smiles say it all. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to Janice Doughty for being such an incredible instructor. She is not only a phenomenal fiber artist but also a warm, kind, and inspiring teacher. The kids absolutely adored her!

Over the two days, our young artists explored a variety of felting techniques and created colorful felted flowers, felted soaps, ornaments, and many other unique projects. Watching their creativity come to life, their confidence grow, and their excitement throughout the process was truly wonderful.

And the creativity continues this summer!

We’re so excited for our 2-Day Wool Felting Camp starting tomorrow!
Janice was at the studio today getting everything set up, and it’s looking absolutely amazing. Check out these photos and videos for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what’s in store. From colorful wool to beautiful works in progress, this is such a unique and creative experience!

'Playing with wool and felt' will be taught by a fantastic fiber artist and a very loving kind friend, Janice Crisci Doughty.
This 2 day camp is perfect for those who cannot commit 5 days. Unlock a new skill and learn various uses it can be put to.
Regular fees: $55
Art camp students: $35.

Brief intro of Artist Janice:
After earning a Fine Arts degree from Miami University, my professional path led me into real estate in Northeast Cincinnati. Retirement opened the door back to my creative roots, and joining the Weavers Guild revealed the passion I had been circling all along: fiber arts. Working with wool centers me. It is tactile, grounding, and endlessly expressive.
