As a composer of both respected symphonic works and widely popular songs, Meredith Willson has earned a place in the annals of 20th century American music. The Music Man Square, a 40,000-square-foot facility features
an indoor 1912 River City Streetscape, a replica of the Warner Bros. Enjoy a treat from the ice cream parlor, shop for unique music themed gifts in Mrs. Paroo's Gift Shop, and reminisce by touring the shops and storefront displays. Tours of the Meredith Willson Boyhood Home, the 19th century Victorian style birthplace of "The Music Man" available as well *(restricted to guests 8 and above). In addition, The

"In 1915, Miss (Dixie) Willson (Meredith's sister) married for the first time. She was wed to Benjamin H. Lampert at the Episcopal Church on October 13th. Mr. Lampert was then serving as the Cerro Gordo County engineer. The couple started the new year by moving to Oskosh, Wisconsin, where the groom took over the family construction company from his father, who had just been elected to the U.S. Senate."

Come to the Square next Saturday (10/17/26) for our annual Halloween event! We'll have vendors from Crafts United from 11 AM - 4 PM and indoor Trick-or-Treating from 2 - 3 PM. We'd love to see your costumes!

Last week, Kinderhaus Preschool came to visit The Music Man Square!
They learned how to play different instruments using a jungle animal theme. We ended the lesson with a parade through the street! Thanks for filling our halls with music!
