Among the many business interests of Marysville tycoon Nelson Mills was the Mills-Elliott Manufacturing Company. In addition to making iceboxes, they also sold the Mallory door latch, an elaborate clasp in the Victorian style which is still found in some homes.

Myron Mills of Marysville saved this, the Republican ticket for the 1890 election. At the bottom, he wrote "the ticket we didn't vote - 1890." The GOP got hammered that year.

A newspaper article about the annual meeting of St Clair County farmers, held at "Bunce Grove" on the St Clair River in Maryville. According to the article, the farmers were smiling this year due to "dollar wheat and 12-cent eggs." The date of this yearly gathering is unknown, but since Nelson Mills is thanked at the end, it would be prior to 1904.

A very tiny, faded, undated photograph found in a scrapbook from Myron Mills of Marysville. Although it isn't identified, it could be cottages that were part of the Stag Island Resort, run by the Mills family.
