A reminder that we have our next Emergency Relief Funds deadline coming soon on November 1st, 2026! These relief funds do no affect other SMAC grants, so you can apply even if you have another open grant with us.

SMAC Emergency Relief Funds for Artists:
SW MN Arts Council continues to offer Emergency Relief Funds for artists. The program provides short-term relief to artists facing housing, healthcare, income, transportation, legal, or property loss emergencies that impact their wellbeing or ability to work, through one-time awards of $500. The next deadlines are: November 1, 2026 and February 1, 2027. Awardees will be randomly drawn each round.

The Artists Emergency Relief Fund Network is stewarded by Springboard for the Arts and supported by F. R. Bigelow Foundation, Jerome Foundation, McKnight Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation.

Looking ahead: Who's next in the SMAC gallery?
Eva Lopez of Windom will have her paper flower creations in our gallery!

This exhibit will run from November 12 to December 18, 2026. In-Person Artist Reception on Thursday, November 12th from 5-7 pm.
