Mayte Parsons has new work in the gallery, and it's dazzling in the truest sense of the word. Her Impressionist landscapes are built from fierce, unblended color: pools of pure pigment, trees that seem to evaporate into the sky, riotous wildflowers in the foreground, and vistas that stretch on forever. Born and raised in Spain, Mayte studied at St. Jorge University of Fine Arts in Barcelona and earned her BFA at San Fernando University of Fine Arts in Madrid before moving to the US in 1979. Her work now hangs in the Hotel Nikko in Beverly Hills, the Bocairente City Hall in Valencia, Spain, and in private and corporate collections around the world.
Mayte won't be able to join us in person, but her new pieces are part of our September ArtWalk exhibition, "A Change of Scenery," opening Friday, September 4th from 6-9pm. Stop by the gallery that night, or browse her full collection anytime on our website: https://robertkentgalleries.com/artist-works.php?artistId=281360&artist=Mayte+Parsons
