I never planned on this.

I’ve been painting silly, fun pillowcases just for the joy of it — quick, loose, a little wild. Then people started asking: “Could you paint MY dog on one?”

So here we are. I’m now taking a very limited number of custom hand-painted pillowcases — real acrylic paint, real brushes, your pet’s actual face looking back at you every time you walk into the room.

A few honest things before you ask:

This is not the same as my canvas commissions. Fabric doesn’t hold fine detail the way stretched canvas does — so if you want every whisker and eyelash, canvas is still your best bet. But if you want a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted piece of your best friend that lives somewhere a little more everyday than a gallery wall? This might be exactly right.

Each one starts with your photos and a conversation about colors and mood, then I get to work the same way I always do — dark to light, background to foreground, layer by layer until they show up.

Spots are limited because these take real time. If you’ve been wanting one, now’s the moment to reach out.

Seat at the Rim” has been selected by jury for the Elements of Nature: Wonders of Mother Nature exhibition at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center Atrium Gallery.
Twenty-four artists. Seventy-three pieces submitted. I’m honored to be among those chosen.
This one holds a special place — the view from the historic Bright Angel Lodge, Grand Canyon South Rim. Those weathered wicker rockers have watched over the canyon for nearly a century. I just gave them a little more time.
She delivers in two days.
