In 1986, Pleasant Company's American Girl series shared iconic dolls and stories from history. As the company celebrates 40 years of American Girl, we'll take a local look at the time periods with a fashion show through history at our Mother's Day tea on Saturday, May 9.

Beginning with each historic American Girl character, the Manitowoc County Historical Society will pair each character with a dress in the style her mother might have worn from our collections or a reproduction where a dress from collections is not possible. Young (and not so young😜) participants are welcome to bring their own dolls (or stuffies) for the occasion.
