The mission of Wonder Workshop is to promote education in the arts, sciences, and humanities. Our goal is to develop self-reliant children, families, and community members. Our hands-on-activities and exhibits instill a desire for life long learning, recognizing our cultural diversity and fostering creative potential.

Week 1 of our Think Big Summer Camp is in the books! We had a truly magical week of learning the ins and outs of the spy world. The highlights:

✨The Kansas State University Police Department visited and shared all about fingerprinting, drone work and their equipment (and answered all 486 questions the kids had!).
✨ We built obstacle courses and participated in spy training missions.
✨ We created our own spy gadgets, solved puzzles and made our way out of an escape room.
✨ We delighted in a huge bouncy water slide because even the best spies need a little down time.
✨ We visited the Riley County Police Department for a CSI lesson and tour of the facility (and they also so graciously answered all our many questions).
✨ We danced and played in the rain because spies need to be prepared for all conditions!

Each Tuesday, we'll be thanking the people and groups that help make these magical summers possible. This week, we'd like to start with the Daniel Keating Foundation and the Gregory P. St. Amand Memorial Fund for their generous contributions to our programs. Their support of our mission to bring this type of magic to ALL kiddos is crucial as we offer scholarships to our programs and keep the fees as low as possible. A huge thank you to both organizations who understand that all children deserve exceptional experiences!

As the school year comes to a close this week, we'd like to share our gratitude for all those who helped make our Afterschool Wonder Club a success!!

Thank you to our kiddos and parents who joined us for fun clubs, including costume design, robotics, science and cooking! 🦸‍♀️🤖🧪👩‍🍳

Thank you to our staff and volunteers who created enriching and exploratory experiences.

Thank you to community members who shared your passion and expertise — we couldn't have done it without you!

And a big thank you to the YES! Fund for helping fund our mission to provide exceptional experiences to the kids in our community.

Summer is coming!! With it, brings new hours and schedule changes! 🌞

With our Think Big Summer Camp kiddos occupying the little red house Monday-Friday, we have shifted our Open Hours and Preschool Explorations to make room for everyone.

💙 Preschool Explorations will be held every Saturday morning at 10:30am throughout the summer and then will move back to weekdays in the fall.

💚 If you need a little Wonder Workshop in your life this summer (who doesn't?!), you can visit us for Open Hours. We'll be open EVERY Saturday from 10am-3pm and all week long when Summer Camp isn't in session (June 8-12, June 29-July 3 and July 20-24).

We have had so much fun this spring learning, creating and exploring with our little friends! We hope you and your kiddos had a great time, too! This week will be our final two Spring Preschool Explorations sessions! We're ending it on a fun theme — science!! 🔬🧪🧬 Join us Wednesday or Thursday morning at 10:30am for fun, hands-on and exploratory activities!
