Makawao History Museum

Our friend at PBS Hawaii, Chuck Parker, is wishing a Happy New Year to all who participated in our film and are fans of the film, "Our Makawao". He wanted all of us to know that they have scheduled "Our Makawao" to run on Thursday February 29 at 9:00pm. It will repeat at !:00pm on Sunday March 3 and will be on their website for two weeks starting February 29.

Mahalo to PBS Hawaii for continually supporting the story of our little town of Makawao....."Our Makawao".

Until we figure out which Makawao businesses will be carrying the "Our Makawao" DVDs, local residents can email Kathy Nelson at [email protected] and work out a meet-up to get your copies without having to pay local shipping charges.

The long awaited DVD of "Our Makawao" is available for purchase on the museum website: https://www.makawaomuseum.org
If you are a local resident email from the museum page and Kathy Nelson will get back to you and arrange for pickup.
The DVD is a great gift for those Makawao/Upcountry ohana that live elsewhere. It's full of wonderful, heartwarming and funny stories.
The Museum is proud that this project is in line with their mission statement - "to preserve and share the cultural heritage of our Upcountry community by bringing history to life for present and future generations".
